About the fellowship

Supported by a grant from the Economic Development Administration, this fellowship provides 10 small business owners from Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island with a unique opportunity to address business challenges through workshops, personalized mentoring, and access to Northeastern University’s entrepreneurial network and resources.

Week Program

Fellows will join online workshops, connect with mentors, and access Northeastern’s global entrepreneurial resources.

Virtual Workshops

The three-week virtual workshops are led by experienced instructors who are former small business owners.

Hours of Engagement

On average, fellows engage in 3-4 hours of reading and interaction for each workshop with the instructor and the other fellows.

In-person Event

Fellows will occasionally be invited to the Northeastern campus in Boston to participate in business pitch simulations and other networking events.

Am I eligible to Apply?

We warmly invite all small business owners to join our community. Before applying, please review the eligibility requirements.

You are eligible to apply if you are:

  • Founder, Owner or CEO of a small business operating in Massachusetts, Maine, or Rhode Island in operation for at least 3 years
  • 21 years or older as of the application due date (January 10, 2025)
  • Proficient in English
  • A legal resident of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia and its territories
  • For-profit, from any industry
  • Formed under United States law and operating in the United States
