A growing speech pathology practice in Providence, RI was seeking assistance to create a business development strategy with a particular focus on enhancing adult services. The intention of the experiential project was to assist True Self Speech Therapy in developing a growth strategy that enabled the business to secure more patients, sustain services growth, and lay the foundation for long-term expansion.

Students were divided into three groups to tackle the project
Each group generated growth-driving goals and conducted comprehensive research
Students presented their strategies to the sponsor in professional pitch presentations
Three structured meetings were held between students and the sponsor throughout the semester
The sponsor maintained communication with students during the entire project period

They were able to research, ask follow-up questions, and then create a plan that helped to maximize my business profits in a healthcare setting that can be confusing and frustrating. My experience was gratifying, and I plan to continue to work with Northeastern students to implement one of the plans
